The Prince of Cambridge

25 Jul

The time that you are born is important. It creates a cosmic imprint of your soul’s greater plan.  I was curious to see what kind of a path the soul of the young Prince of Cambridge has set for for himself.

Born with a late degree Cancer (29 deg which cusps Leo) he shares a astrological link with his father  (sun and moon in Cancer), his mother (Cancer moon) and grandmother Diana who was the epitome of a sun in Cancer. This placement gives the Prince all the positives attributes of Cancer such as being sensitive and caring. However, since his sun cusps regal Leo it indicates he will have strong leadership abilities. The best way to sum up this little tot is that he will be a feeling, sensitive kind of leader.

He was born on a super moon, which is interesting since his father William was born during the summer solstice (sun energy) and his mother Kate was born under a lunar eclipse (moon energy). What a strong vibration!

Another important thing to note is that he is born with a Scorpio ascendant (under Pluto’s rulership) which gives him the potential to be a intense transformer. Pluto is especially significant at this point in time because it squares Uranus, so it suggests that he is here to create permanent and lasting social change. He will do things differently from other royals. He will do it his way. He is social reformer – a ruler with heart.

Life Path 17/8

The Prince is a life path 17/8 which means he was born under the path of Abundance, Power and Leadership. So you can see that Leo quality really coming into play here. His life purpose is to work with abundance, power, and recognition, and to apply his success in service of the common good. He entered this plane armed to lead, direct, organize and govern. He is endowed with tremendous potential for conceiving far-reaching schemes and ideas, and also possessing the tenacity and independence to follow them through to completion.

Being a 17/8 he will negotiate the lessons of the 8 vibration first through the energy of the number 1 then 7. Having the 1 energy means that his approach to business will be original, inspired, creative. Whatever he does business wise and financially will be highly independent. He also has the 7 vibration which means that he has a great eye for detail, and a natural talent to research and analyse information. There is a spiritual component implied. In the positive the 7 will mean that he is geared towards finding his own truth, and search for meaning in what he does so even though he is a leader and financially orientated he will bring a touch of metaphysics into his life.

2013 – A year to follow your vision!

31 Dec

What Can You Expect in 2013?

After the roller coaster 2012, many are looking forward to 2013. You wouldn’t think that a year could make such a difference but it does. This is because each year has a different Universal Year energy, and obviously the planetary alignments are different, so each year brings new and exciting changes, as well challenges.

The universe works in cycles. Even your personal karma works in cycles. We can use numerology and astrology to predict new cycles and the predominate flavour of the cycle. It helps us plan and utilise these energies to make the most of what the universe has to offer.

So, let’s begin. 2013 is a Universal 6 energy cycle (simply add 2+0+1+3 to get the 6 vibration) and it is such a radical shift from the 5 vibration of 2012. The 5 vibration certainly brought large scale change. We saw a focus on education, enormous change in global finances, riots and revolutions, as well as the lovely technological breakthroughs and the push for freedom.

The theme for the Universal 6 years is ‘follow your vision’.

The qualities of the number 6 centres on love, commitment, family, the home, themes of emotional and financial security, and either an obligation or desire to be of service to family and close friends. It can be a very creative year as well, and a year of incredible medical breakthroughs! The 6 vibration governs counselling, healing, medicine, so watch of for exciting innovations in that field.  It asks us to look at our heart chakra consciousness and find ways to self nurture the self as well as loved ones. During a Universal 6 year many of us will discover that our success and happiness is very much related to our willingness to give of ourselves.

Given that the Universal 5 year was very erratic, many are looking forward to finding a sense of ‘home’. If you are willing to compromise and make adjustments for those special people in your life, this can be a most fulfilling year. As a collective the 6 asks us to take on additional responsibility – taking care of the planet and all life. The pace is a lot slower than last year, and maybe even less adventurous, because we are being called to be of service to each other. In saying that, we will still see riots, revolution and financial mayhem which it’s a carryover from the Universal 5 year since these issues weren’t fully addressed and we still have the Pluto square Uranus energies in the skies. The drive of the 6 to take on a new level of responsibility will helps us to deal with the issues in a different manner – it’s about working together for a common goal. The key is to harmonise and keep things in balance to make the most of the 6 vibration.

Some people will use the 6 energy to fix up the home to make it feel secure and inviting, others open up to counselling loved ones. The focus is on love, relationship and domestic matters both personally and internationally. Business and financial matters will progress more slowly as global economies contract. How will you make adjustments to the responsibilities of the year? You would be wise to focus on how you can create a loving home life environment (and a peaceful global ‘home’) instead of trying to focus on the material aspects of life. Self-reliance and security will become more and more important as the year unfolds.

But the most important theme is ‘to follow your vision’. What is your dream? What can you do to make it happen? The 6 vibration drives us to get in touch with our higher ideals, to dream, to see the bigger picture, let go off and blocks in the heart chakra that stops us from reaching for these dreams. This energy is especially strong in the middle of the year. I will talk about the grand trine astrological aspect that gives us the cosmic push to discover our dreams and how to make them real later in this blog.

Also, please remember that your Personal Year number will be also influencing how you experience the 6 year. For example if you are in a Personal 1 year energy you will experience the Universal 6 year differently to say someone who is in a Personal 9 year.

As with all Universal Years, there is a challenging aspect to a number. The number 6 in detriment will mean that homelessness will be on the rise, more disfranchisement, and relationship breakdowns. Many will get too caught up in their heart chakra wounds to be off service or resent having to be the one to carry responsibilities. People can grow more critical or place impossible expectations on others for example; the search for the ideal love will mean that they could turn love away rather than seeing the imperfections in others as unique learning opportunities for the soul.

International relationships will be tested. Governments will be forced to deal with the financial crisis and how it affects their home. The USA for example will be tested in so many ways during 2013 as it tries to navigate the fiscal cliff.

Earlier I mentioned the Pluto square Uranus alignment. This is the energy that stirred up the revolutions, riots and financial shake ups last year. This two cosmic movers and shakers are coming back to test the collective in May and November to see if we are doing our karmic work or slackening off. Between these two hits globally we can see more financial mayhem and riots but also religious uprisings. Pluto square Uranus will test our faith in things as the global financial meltdown in the background gets us to question what is off true value and what is important to your heart. Well Uranus is in Aries so more youth rebellion to usher in new attitudes and ways of doing things against Pluto in Capricorn which governs banking, finance, big corporations and governments. We had this energy last year but it destabilised many, some felt sluggish and inert, others felt overwhelmed or anxious.

This year we need to deal with these energies differently. It gives us the opportunity to clear our house. Coming from a ‘being of service’ consciousness can help us restore harmony and balance and help each other instead of witnessing further breakdowns. There is a real push towards higher awareness and compassion and to inspire acts of random kindness. It really is a year where the global collective can move towards a sense of community instead of competition.

Thankfully there is a Saturn trine Neptune alignment (June and July) which can help you to plug into your higher vision and make your dreams come true.

How can you work with alignment?

Simply draw these cosmic energies through the crown chakra and down into the heart chakra and blend them with your vision and then take it into the solar plexus to manifest it as a reality.

Just a quick note: when manifesting remember that your thoughts, feelings and subconscious patterns will affect how strong the manifestation will be so be aware of your thoughts and feelings. Clear negative thoughts before manifesting!

The grand trine energy coming through in July can help make riots and revolutions much more constructive. Having a little faith in higher powers or in your visions can make such a difference! It can help us tap into compassion and the energy to create a ‘being of service’ consciousness. Use it to your advantage to strengthen your vision.

There is a t-square in July that may serve to jolt us into action our dreams and to take care of issues instead of trying to escape into the illusion of what we want, or what we are being told is real.

By the end of the year the universe sends rays that can help us to heal on a large scale, a kind of grand finale send off for the 6 vibration before we move into the Universal 7 year.

I wish you all a Happy New Year and in my next blog will look at more predictions for 2013.

Hurricane Sandy

30 Oct

Is Hurricane Sandy just a accident of nature or is there an astrological reason behind its power?

A friend was curious about this question and suggested that I should blog about it so here’s my five cents worth.  Planetary alignments (or harmonics) have been known to cause earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and super-storms by affecting the earth’s gravitational pull and tectonic plates. Even solar flares disrupt the earth’s electromagnetic field, our earth stars and even our solar plexus chakras!

Hurricane Sandy has lashed across the upper east coast of the US and is currently inundating Manhattan with water. This is happening under a full moon in Taurus. The moon affects tides but there’s a lot more going on that the tug of the full moon.  In the background we are under the influences of Neptune in Pisces so we can expect problems with water now, and in years to come – too much or it and too little of it as well as water related disasters. On the upside of Neptune in Pisces we will see a  rise in spirituality and healing and all things psychic, but Neptune will also help us understand more about the nature of water and its consciousness.

Back to Hurricane Sandy… astrologically in the skies there is a trine and a boomerang yod, but what is interesting is in what is happening with  the fixed stars and the cycle of the full moon.

This full moon is a  final moon phase of the solar eclipse energy that began back in May, which fell in the Pleiades (the Seven Weeping Sisters, also known as the Rainy Stars) and is associated with storms.  Since it is the final moon phase of that eclipse cycle it packs a punch. Also, at the same time the rising star in the part of the US affected by the storms is Achernar which is associated with accidents to do with the sea, rain, water.  The malefic star Algol (harbinger or tragedy and sorrow)  is  on the south node of the moon so we can see that Sandy rolled in under some heavy alignments.

I also took a quick look at numerology. In the US it is still the 29th.  2+9 = 11/2 as spiritual messenger number so we should perhaps use this opportunity to see what the spiritual message is behind it. Perhaps in my next blog? Anyhow, the 11/2 reduces to a 2 and 2 is a water number as it governs the sacral chakra conscicousness of emotions, intuition, etc.  In the positive the number 2 represents the flow of water, emotions, diplomacy, strengthening of relationships. However in the negative the 2 is about problems with water, suppressed emotions, a fear of rejection, a fear of emotional confrontations and not trusting in one’s intuition.  The master number 29/11/2 comes under the governance of Archangel Gabriel. Gabriel governs the water elementals called the undines and also the sacral chakra which is ruled by the element of water.  So even in the numbers water is being aspected.

If you add up the day, month and year numbers we get 2+9+1+0+2+0+1+2  = 17/8. The 8 vibration in the positive is about power and control. In the negative this number is about the loss of power and control. It seems that Hurricane Sandy has the power and control, and the places and people affected by its might are experiencing the negative aspect of the 8.

Julia, the challenge might continue

28 Feb

No sooner has Julia Gillard shrugged off a leadership battle (I did suggest in my last blog that Kevin Rudd should have stayed as Foreign Minister) that the seed for another challenge is being planted. Julia may have the support of the caucus but she is ‘still out in the cold’ as there could well be another challenge. She has worked very hard and has had to be strong but she  is still under tough stars, especially during July so no time for chillaxing here. Immediately after winning the leadership battle rumours surfaced that Bill Shorten will be a potential challenger for the leadership of the Labour Party. So, naturally, I had to have a look at his numbers to see if he would make a good leader.

Bill Shorten is a life path 31/4.  Your life path tells you a lot about who you are as a person. It is the mountain your soul needs to climb. As a 31/4 Bill is a reliable, practical and dependable person. He shows marked determination (he also has the arrow of determination in his plane of expression) that gives him the strength and ambition to reach his goals.  He grasps new ideas quickly but his karma is to develop a methodical down to earth approach to life and his destiny.

Since he is here to learn about the path of stability and foundation Bill will show a cautious aspect to his nature, and this can play out as having a strong will which at times can make him stubborn and uncompromising because once he has  made up his mind regarding an issue, nothing will deter him. Bill has an inner drive to achieve power, authority, influence and dominance on his own terms (but he does have good diplomatic skills!). He also has a strong drive for creative expression and he has sound analytical abilities which goes hand in hand with his ambition and desire for status.

Because many 31/4 find it hard blend their head with their heart he will need to learn to trust his intuition and emotions more but I can see where the need for diplomacy to have harmony comes from with his 2’s in challenge in his inner self and relationship quadrants. Having the number 8 appear twice in his career quadrant means that he is also good with finances and can take positions of authority easily.  The 8 quality is what someone who wants to lead a business or country needs. Julia also has 8’s in her career quadrant.

Bill will be wise to remembers that life path 31/4 people find success through following the path of a strategy that follows a step by step process to build a solid foundation. Some karmic challenges he needs to look at his how to blend his head and heart and he has to watch impatience because he will want everything done immediately. One of his karmic inner drivers is a need to compensate for insecurity. This is a lesson that many 31/4 have to work through because unless they do they can develop a highly ambitious ego based personas to help them feel they are in a superior position.

Bill is currently in a personal 3 year so it is a very socially activity year, it’s a perfect cycle to expand and develop all opportunities so will we be surprised if he does make a leadership challenge around July/August?.  Communications and meetings will keep him busy but he will be wise not to scatter his energies recklessly. Feelings of satisfaction and accomplishment will be achieved. His creative faculties will be in top gear and he will impress others. It is a perfect year to sign new contracts. Could that contract be as leader of the Labor Party?

After his birthday, and he will feel this 6 weeks after that date, Bill will enter a 4 personal year so he will have his work cut out for him.  While the energy of 4 brings success and personal achievement regarding his career he will have a heavy workload and a busy daily routine.  He will have a tight and pressure based schedule and even though he will feel empowered to take on additional responsibility he will be wise not to burn the midnight oil. Because he will feel in a productive state of mind overworking can result in his losing his mojo around March 2012 until around June so he may be drained and tired then.

One of the themes of 4 years is that while you are asked to be productive, structured and responsible, is to remember that even if you feel it is a case of one step forward and two steps back, you are still creating new and stronger foundations.  If Bill lets himself flow with the tide during his 4 year he will gain a deep satisfaction in knowing his efforts produce tangible results.

With what I see for Bill I wouldn’t be surprised that he becomes the new Labor Leader. Well, we will find out for sure by the second half of the year.

What Does The Number 9 in 9/11 mean?

9 Sep

Can the number of a day or month numbers really affect us? Pythagoras taught that numbers is the essence of all things in the universe. He gave each number a certain essence, harmony, virtue and attributes.

Metaphysically, this translates into essences that are imbued with qualities such as psychological and emotional makeup, challenges, and strengths.  I know you’re probably thinking well that’s okay when you’re talking about a person. But what does it have to do with a day or a month?

Days, like people, have a specific essence. It is a ray of energy, a universal ray that wraps around the entire planet. This ray of energy, or light as some would say, is a beam of consciousness. So, even though it doesn’t have human qualities of emotions and thoughts, it is nevertheless a form of awareness – cosmic awareness.

When you look at the day number 1 it has a completely different collective affect on us than the energy of a day number 8. A 1 month vibration is different to a month that resonates to the number 9.

For example, the first day of each month, (and day 10 and 19) being a 1 vibration, is the perfect energy to tap into the universe and receive creative inspiration, to action things, to move forward with projects you want to get off the ground.  The 8th day of each month (or day 17, and day 26 as they reduce to an 8 ) is a fantastic day to take care of money issues, focus on work, or developing or reclaiming your personal authority. If you work with the prevailing essence of a particular day, you maximise your potential.

Months likewise reflect an energy only this energy influences the whole month and colours how each individual day number plays out. For example, at the moment we are in a 9 month. No surprises that there has been so much focus on 9/11 since that day represented the ‘end of a way of looking at our world.’ The 9 energy is quite Plutonic, it can feel deep and hidden, and it is a ‘destroyer’ or purger energy that breaks down the old order. A little bit of all of us died when 9/11 happened. But the 9 vibration also brings in its wake a new wisdom, a new focus for humanity, the essence of transformation and the energy of forgiveness.

Since the 9 is a time of significant endings and transitions, September is a ‘letting go month’.  It’s time now to take inventory and clear the decks of completed or outgrown activities, interests and relations. Clean up your life and make a clear space for future opportunities.

How great these changes are depends largely on what you have been doing with your life. Now you can reinvent yourself, lose weight, toss out old stuff, and get rid of old habits. It is also a month to let go off the wounds. While we will never forget 9/11, the month of September reminds us that change is inevitable. Keep in your heart what is dear to you and heal it with the wisdom of forgiveness.  As a collective we can heal and move on because the 9 month is followed by the 1 energy of October. It reminds us that represents a new birth, a new beginning is just around the corner.

Cyclone Yasi – the numerology behind the name

2 Feb

I’m not surprised that Yasi was upgraded to a grade 5 cyclone given it’s numbers. Even if it gets down graded to a four, its effects have are already be felt in our collective consciousness. I’ve had students emailing me asking questions like, ‘Why QLD? Why more storms after the devastating floods? Is it just El Nina or is something bigger playing out?  What do you think?’…

I find it fascinating how cyclones get named. I don’t mean that they follow the alphabet per se, but the name it is given. So, I thought I’d do the numbers for cyclone Yasi.  It translated to  7+1+1+9  which equals  18/9… and that means transformation.

How intuitive was the person who called the shots and got to name this cyclone? The number 9 is the numerical equivalent to the astrological sign Pluto.  9 is about endings, it is the ultimate transformer, the purger and the destroyer. It’s about letting go of old beliefs and past of us (individually and collectively) that no longer serve us.

For those who know their astrology we know that Neptune, a water sign planet, is starting to stir the pot and we’re going to see a lot more issues to do with water come up in the near future.

In the negative a 18/9 can seem disempowering as the 1 translates to an inability to step forward or take leadership, the 8 a lack of authority and 9 a lack of power, or deeper psychological processes that bring one undone. The cyclone has the power to move us out of our homes!

However, on the positive the 1 means to initiate something new – how have all the problems with water we’ve been experiencing shaped our consciousness?  The number 8 – how do we reclaim our power? Well, look how we all pitched in to help QLD? It propelled a national response to re-empower the state. And 9? The recent floods so us the transformative spirit of Australian’s – look at the amazing collective clean up after the floods!

People are hanging around to see the full brunt of the storm play out. The are retreating (also a 9 aspect) moving to safety.

Wise.

A Royal Engagement – numerology for Wills & Kate

17 Nov

Numerology gives us a fantastic insight into how your life path number influences your closest relationships. By adding your life path number together with another person, you’ll discover a lot about how the relationship will play out. So, today, hot on the heels of the announcement of Prince William’s engagement to Kate Middleton, I thought I’d take a quick look at how their relationship numbers are going to shape their relationship…

Prince William and Kate Middleton (source: News.com.au)

Prince William and Kate Middleton from News.com.au

Kate is a life path 30/3

Born under the path of expression and sensitivity, Kate purpose is to use her emotional sensitivity to bring positive and heartfelt self-expression into the world. Her positive traits include a joy of living, she is intuitive and intelligent, and she acquires and accumulates considerable knowledge about many things. She has the talent, imagination and optimism to achieve her goals. Her bubbly personality makes her charismatic. But there are set backs to this life path. Obviously there will be a regular flow of setbacks and disappointments but she is blessed with the ability to bounce back quickly. Too much self analysis and worry will stress her out, so keeping her creative expression will balance it out. She’ll also have to watch out for tendencies such as scepticism and a lack of faith, and criticism. When she becomes self-doubting she can slip into melancholy.

Prince William is a Life path master number 29/11/2

People born under this path are born to lead others by suing their high level of creativity and wonderful intuitive abilities. They tend to be hypersensitive, which enables him to tune in to other people but the downside of this sensitivity is that from time to time he’ll lose sense of personal boundaries. He is diplomatic, and works hard to create win/win situations through being of service. Set backs include falling into the trap of looking for his identify by being too much of service to others and not honouring his own needs. When he is feeling insecure he’ll on a defensive mask of aloofness, self-assuredness, even arrogance and competitiveness (i.e. the need to be right etc), but it is to mask a fear of losing (heighten his subconscious inferiority complex). Like kate there is a tendency to overanalyse and intellectualise things.  Prince William is here to inspire and bring knowledge to others through his leadership.

As a couple?

Well they are a number 5 couple. The five vibration makes for a very passionate relationship that needs an element of freedom and change, to explore, experience and keep things fresh. The worst thing that could happen is inerita, but I’m sure they’ll keep that dynamic, moving and changeable quality alive, so there is always adventure and new discoveries. The challenge for a 5 relationship is a need to control and channel their passion so it is always flowing in a balanced way. If it is left unrestrained they will get caught up in their emotions and feelings.

The one thing I can definitely say about this relationship – they’ll enjoy travel and adventuring and exploring new things.

Einstein: master visionary 33/6

22 Jun

Since we’ve been making mind-boggling advances in science, I thought I’d pay homage to one of the greatest scientific minds of the 20th century by taking a look at his numerology. Albert Einstein is a master 33/6 number which makes him a visionary with a real need for perfectionism.

Would you believe Einstein had a heart of gold? Probably, after all he was a genius, right? It’s refreshing to know, however, that his strengths didn’t just lie in the field of science – he was wise too! The positive expression of the 33/6 life-path number would have given Einstein an extremely loving and giving nature and he was someone who was ready to take on the world together with the flag of social injustice. His energies would have been sympathetic and inspirational, youthful, gracious and friendly, and at times even sacrificial.

He would have sacrificed own emotional and material security in the pursuit of an idealistic cause. He was the type of person that would have always reached out to help others but he would have had to watch out for people trying to take advantage of his generous heart.

One of the more interesting aspects of the life of a 33/6 master number is that while these people desire fame or want to leave their mark on the world, they have to learn how to temper their desire with solid effort and practical results.

He had to learn a few things too

Being born on a karmic day, ie the 14th, Einstein incarnated to work through the karmic challenges of progress, freedom, and flexibility. He would have felt restless, easily distracted, and found it difficult to follow-through on things when he was younger as a result. By the time he passed away, he would have mastered the art of being practical, while at the same time having the freedom to do what he loved.

The challenging aspects of his life would have made him experience periods of anxiety and depression, so he could slip into evasive or timid periods where he’d worry over trivial issues.

If we take a closer look at his pinnacles, Einstein has a lot of 2’s in his challenges which means that he would also have been very sensitive and was non-confrontational, preferring things to be in harmony and balanced. He would also have found it hard to express his emotions when younger and to gain a lot of support from people during his youth. One of Einstein’s greatest challenges would have been to move past his innate need for the perfect moment, the perfect answer to everything.

And because he would have searched for the perfect moment or perfection in others, he would also easily slip into criticism. He would have been very self-critical and he’d have found it hard to negotiate other people’s imperfection. Throughout life he would have tackled this issue and arrived at a place where he would have learnt to accept the lack of perfection in others and in the world. But, his lasting legacy was his vision and his desire to be of service to humanity through the sheer breadth and scope of his discoveries.
