Kevin Rudd was eclipsed from parliament

25 Jun

‘Well done, Sue, you got it right,’ said one of my students about my prediction on Julia Gillard. ‘She totally runs rings around Rudd.’ Back in one of my May 2010 postings I did mention that Gillard would give both Rudd and Abbott a run for their money, and I truly believe she is going to be a good leader. However, I do believe we’ve also just lost a wise one. So here it is, a little psychic insight, and a tribute, to the PM that we missed out on…

Rudd or Abbott? or someone else?

Read my May 2010 prediction: Rudd or Abbott? or someone else?

Now that the knives have been put away and the spotlight has shifted to our new Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, what’s in stall for Kevin Rudd as he leaves office? How did he swing from our most popular Prime Minister to being ousted before his term was up? Our take on any public person is tainted by spin doctors and the media which makes it hard for us to get a glimpse of the real person behind the political mask worn by our public figures – and let’s not forget that the media isn’t afraid to add its own touch of paint to these masks. So, I’ve turned to my tarot, numerology and astrology charts yet again to get some insight into a different side of Kevin Rudd.

Can we blame it on the stars? In my reality, yes. Kevin’s demise came about under the influence of a partial-lunar eclipse, which affects us all on 26 June 2010. Astrolgers will tell you that it’s possible to feel the eclipse’s energy before it actually hits. Lunar eclipses often herald a form of crisis in our life. This eclipse in particular was ‘aspecting’ Australia, so our nation gets to feel an extra little push, shove and thanks for coming. And who’s the head of our nation? Kevin Rudd.

How does it all add up?

Born on 21 September 1957, Rudd is a life path 34/7 in numerology. The most fundamental life lesson 34/7s have is walking the path of trust and openness, which means Kevin’s path is to work out what his version of the truth is and trust in the world enough to open up and share it with everyone. This, unfortunately, is what he didn’t do while he was the Prime Minister, although much to his credit, he did it on the eve of leaving office. We may lament, ‘if only he’d spoken out like this before, then they’d never have booted him out!’ But what we don’t understand is how hard it is for a life-path 7 to reveal his or her inner self to the outside world.

As a life path 7, Kevin leaves no stone unturned in his quest for truth and knowledge. His natural gift for investigation, analysis and keen observation makes him a progressive thinker. He’s capable of evaluating situations very quickly and with amazing accuracy. Interestingly, people born under a life-path 7 are driven to work through their own inner processes and to find out the truth for themselves so they’re not really that interested in the lime light.

His first challenge is the 3-6-9 pattern in detriment, which means as a child he probably wasn’t allowed to have much limelight growing up, and he could have experienced some trauma around this that would have made him a little more reserved and withdrawn than normal.

In his father’s quadrant is the number 22/4, which means he inherited a strong work ethic from his father even though his father died while Kevin was still young. Kevin is a workaholic, which is fuelled by his intellectual and studious side, and doesn’t accept a premise until he’s dissected a subject from all angles to arrive at his own independent conclusion.

Seven is a spiritual number too, and as Kevin gets older don’t be surprised if his religious faith, or his quest to understand the cosmos gets even stronger. He’s certainly genuine, even though his public face didn’t show the truth of his inner convictions. Kevin’s nature is to work hard, seek out the truth in things and cross every ‘t’. He’s certainly not slack, but once he has decided on an issue, it’s almost impossible to get him to revisit the question. Adaptability is not his style, and change for him is a rarity. But he does do his homework, so you’d have to work just as hard to convince him to change his views.

The rub

The great irony of the spiritual journey of 7s is that while they search and fight for truth and justice, they can sometimes attract lessons of betrayal. Kevin got to live this fear out on a very public platform. The upside for Kevin is that his real friends, and these people would also have to work hard to gain his confidence and respect, will be real friends for life.

Eclipsed

Astrology makes it easier to see what’s currently happening in Kevin’s day-to-day life. Kevin’s ousting happens under the energy of a ‘partial lunar eclipse full moon’ that hits his astrology chart on 26 June 2010. A full moon usually represents letting go of things, but a full-moon lunar eclipse really packs a punch, this one in particular because it conjuncts Pluto (death and transformation) and opposes the Sun (ego) as well as Mercury (communication and information).

A full moon lunar eclipse evokes very powerful emotions and intense feelings. The theme of power and control are paramount. By opposing the sun it suggests that Kevin faces difficulties from political foes whose egos are threatened by a situation (in this case the potential loss of the federal election). Political disputes and social revolutions threaten danger and destruction.

It’s interesting that in the natal chart of Australia this eclipse aspect had the Moon and Saturn conjunct, which suggests people are inclined to overthrow or resist their rulers (represented by the Sun). It’s also interesting that the leadership change happens under the influence of the Moon conjunct Pluto, which suggests the rise of feminine power. So, one could say that the cosmos gave Julia Gillard a helping hand (but this is only a taste of the upheavals that will rock the world over the next few years so expected the unexpected).

What’s next for Kevin tarot-logically speaking?

Kevin, if you’re reading this (and in my wildest dreams many people are), you will find your strength again. You will travel, and look to taking on work that involves travel. But first, take a nice long holiday because your stress levels are high and could linger. Your feeling of betrayal goes deep and may have gutted you, but please resist judging yourself harshly – I’ve just pulled out the Justice, Judgement and 4 of Pentacles cards, which indicate that you need to let go of everything and not try to over analyse the recent events.

Finally, Kevin, it might not mean too much coming from a little-Sydney psychic who you’ll never meet nor read, but I know you truly did your best and you were a good leader. Other leaders can’t walk away with the same level of integrity.

altho I am not a labour voter and never ever have been. I am truly sorry for the way you were disposed of office. firstly congratulations on the way you handled your press converence well done. you were right australians voted for you to be prime minister and we expected that you would be leader until the next election .This is what is wrong with dis- honest politicians. Surely the public let the labour party know that this tax to be levied on the mining industries of australia should have been debated with the mining companies well before it was announced this was the down fall. These companies spend millions of dollars setting up and already pay huge taxes and should never had been singled out .What about the huge profit grabbing banks in australia who rip of thier clients and do not provide the wealth of jobs for the australian public. In theory the tax sounded great but at what expense.Less jobs for the ordinary worker who might I add pays more than his share of taxes

KR, I am a fellow Queenslander and a liberal voter, I live in NSW and have found what they did to you was shameful and not humane or christian but what goes around will come around and sooner than you think, keep your value and don’t allow them to take anything else away from you.
